1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and spiri2, operator of Aimmetry (“Aimmetry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using Aimmetry, you agree to these Terms and the Aimmetry Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
If you use Aimmetry on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
2. What Aimmetry does
Aimmetry is a controller measurement and configuration companion. It reads supported controller input, guides you through calibration exercises, and provides suggested settings for compatible controllers and games.
Results are estimates and suggested starting values, not guarantees. They may vary based on hardware condition, connection method, operating system, controller firmware, game updates, in-game settings, network latency, display latency, physical ability, and personal preference. Aimmetry does not guarantee mouse-equivalent accuracy, improved competitive performance, or a particular gameplay outcome.
3. License and permitted use
Subject to these Terms and applicable App Store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Aimmetry on devices you own or control for lawful, non-commercial purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, resell, sublicense, rent, or commercially exploit the app
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where law expressly permits it
- Interfere with the app, its security, or another person’s device or service
- Use Aimmetry to violate a game, platform, tournament, or anti-cheat rule
- Misrepresent Aimmetry results as a certification or hardware warranty
- Use the app for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity
4. Fair play and platform rules
Aimmetry is intended to help you understand controller behavior and choose ordinary settings available through supported controller or game menus. It is not designed to automate gameplay, inject input, bypass anti-cheat systems, modify firmware, or provide an unfair competitive advantage.
You are responsible for following the terms, tournament rules, and fair-play requirements of each console, controller, game, and online service you use.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for connecting and using your controller safely, reviewing recommendations before applying them, and testing changes in an appropriate environment. Change settings gradually and restore prior values if a recommendation causes discomfort, unexpected input, or reduced control.
You are also responsible for files you export or share and for selecting an appropriate destination and audience.
6. Compatibility and third-party products
Compatibility can change when Apple, console manufacturers, controller manufacturers, or game publishers update their hardware, firmware, operating systems, APIs, or games. We do not promise that every controller, feature, or game will remain supported.
Aimmetry is an independent product and is not sponsored, endorsed, or affiliated with Apple, Sony Interactive Entertainment, PlayStation, Microsoft, Xbox, Activision, Blizzard, Bungie, or any referenced game or controller manufacturer. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
7. Ownership
Aimmetry, including its software, design, branding, text, and original content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the app or Aimmetry branding to you.
You retain ownership of result files you create using your own calibration session, subject to our ownership of the underlying app design and branded template.
8. App Store terms
If you obtained Aimmetry through Apple’s App Store, your use is also subject to the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and any standard end-user license terms provided by Apple. Apple is not responsible for Aimmetry’s support, maintenance, or claims except to the extent required by applicable law or Apple’s terms.
9. Availability, updates, and termination
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features to improve Aimmetry, address compatibility or security issues, or comply with law. We may terminate or restrict access if you materially violate these Terms. You may stop using Aimmetry at any time by deleting the app.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aimmetry is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or compatibility. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, lost opportunities, gameplay losses, account actions, hardware issues, or service interruptions arising from or related to Aimmetry.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for claims relating to Aimmetry will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the app during the twelve months before the claim or ten U.S. dollars (US $10). These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction, unless consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. Before filing a claim, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms as Aimmetry changes. Updated Terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Continuing to use Aimmetry after revised Terms take effect means you accept them, to the extent permitted by law.
